I started with a 7-3/4" square piece of Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper. I placed my scoring "markers" at 4-1/8" and 3-1/8".
First I scored a line at 4-1/8", then I flipped the DSP around and scored at the same measurement on the opposite side.
Then I flipped the paper a quarter-turn and scored on the 3-1/8" line the same way - once each on opposite sides of the paper.
I then folded the paper on the scored lines and snipped out the little corners where the scored lines overlapped.
Here is the envelope with the sides folded in. I also snipped off a triangle at the bottom so when I folded it up, I wouldn't have a sharp point.
The bottom flap was brought up and adhered with 2-Way Glue pen to the side flaps. I used the 3/16" Corner Punch to round the tip of the top flap.
This card was made by my friend Diane Kipp using the Raining Flowers stamp set. She had the Berry Blossoms DSP on the card, so it was perfect for my envelope! This is a "standard sized" card (an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock cut in half and then folded in half to make a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card).
And the card fits perfectly inside the envelope! Isn't it adorable???
In the Summer Smooches product line, which is available for purchase in April (a sneak peek from the new Idea Book & Catalog!), there is an adorable Petite Purse Bigz L Die. At the last meeting that my upline held, we were able to make one of the purses - cute, cute, cute! Aren't these adorable?
We used the Petite Purse Die and cut out a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then we used the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and two colors of ink sponged over the top. (Mine was Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.) The handle gets cut with the purse when you run the cardstock through the die and it is held on with brads at the side (hard to see in the picture).
I put my finished purse carefully on top of the other items I had in my bag and came home. After I put my bag on the table, I got busy on the computer for a bit. I went to get my bag to take it downstairs, but I heard a funny noise in the living room. When I went to check on it, this is what I found...
Wait for it....
I found my purse, but...
only parts of it.
