Stamp-a-Stack Cards

I've been wanting to show you the cards that we made at my Stamp-a-Stack class last week, however, my computer decided that it had OTHER ideas! Well, actually it was my keyboard that decided to be persnickety. We finally had to go purchase a new one tonight. Jerry thinks it's because I spend so much time typing with my transcription work that I just wore the poor thing out! Whatever...

Anyway, here are the four card designs. Everyone who came made three of each design and they were able to personalize the sayings. All of the card designs were CASE-d or inspired from another card that I've seen on-line someplace. If you're the creator of the original card, please let me know so I can give you credit for it! I do get a lot of my card ideas from the Late Night Stampers group.

Just Believe stamp set - sort of a monochromatic card.Butterfly Prints stamp set - the butterflies in this set are designed to be used with the butterfly punch. No cutting out, simply punch!

Elegant Lines embossing folder with Perfect Punches. This is such a quick and easy card that is so elegant! It would be perfect for any occasion.

New Clearance Items Added - and Catalog Supplies List

Wow! You want to rush right over to my Stampin' Up! website and check out all of the new items they've added to the Clearance Rack! Smiley from millan.net They've added cardstock, ribbon, buttons, accents and elements items, rub-ons, DSP, chipboard elements, and much more! Be sure that you go to my Stampin' Up! website and order through there - that way you will pay a little less than if you go through the "main" SU! website. Go to the "Shop Now" button, and when you get to the "store", click on the "clearance rack" link. You can also order regular-priced items on the same order if you wish.

Also, have you ever wished that you had a list of the supplies used to make the samples in the catalog? Well, you can! Just go to the Stampin' Up! main page, click on "Our Products" and then "2010-2011 catalogs". When the images of the current catalogs come up, choose "Stampin' Supplies". It will bring up a PDF file that you can download. You can save it to your computer for easy viewing anytime!

Let me know if you have any questions! Happy stamping!

Stampin' Up Pennant Banners

At Convention this year we were able to make Color Charts with all of the new colors. Not only is the color chart a great tool to have, but the room was decorated with these adorable banners, indicating which "color family" was at which table. It made the room look so bright and cheery!

The banners were made from cardstock and used the Pennant Bigz XL Die (pg. 208 IB&C) for the base. Here is an overall picture of the room, followed by close-ups of the banners.

Brights Collection:

Regals Collection:
Aren't the butterflies so pretty?
Neutrals Collection:
I love the elegance of these pennants in the Neutrals. They use the Decorative Accents Bigz Die (pg. 207 IB&C) for the top image.
In Color:
Love the circle opening with the flower inside! What a clever idea!
You could take this banner idea and make it your own for your next birthday party or any other special occasion. It would add such a festive touch and people would be so impressed to hear that you made it yourself! If you want more information on how to make these or you would like to order the supplies to make them, feel free to contact me!

Upscale Swap Group

I've been wanting to show you pictures from the swap group I'm in. We are the "Upscale Swap Group", and those who came to Convention got together, swapped cards, and had our picture taken. There are more ladies in the group, but these are the ones that were able to attend Convention this year.

Here we all are, holding the cards that we swapped. (L-R) Debra Currier, Lisa Gray, Laura Barto, Danelle Henry, Michelle Vernaus, Anita Ferre', me, and Judy Cayton.

Adorable cards from Tickled Ink meeting...

I've been MIA for a couple of days... but I'm back now! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net We had a wedding that took up most of Saturday and last week just seemed to be busy, busy, busy. But that doesn't mean I wasn't thinking of you! Here are some cards that I saw at our Tickled Ink meeting this month. I'm sorry that I don't know the creators of these cards. I'm pretty sure they came from swaps at Convention. These are just some random cards that caught my eye. If you're the creator, please let me know so I can acknowledge you!

Isn't this dog adorable?

I think this one was one of my favorites! Notice how the ants are carrying away little bites of the strawberry in their mouths! Too cute!
Adorable "place setting" card.
Oreo cookies on a plate - yum!
Ice cream anyone? And these were just a few of the cards we saw! Lots of people brought their card swaps from Convention, so we had a great time looking through all of the great ideas. Hope you were inspired by some of these samples! (Or at least they might have made you hungry!)

See you soon!

Amazing Cake

I have been wanting to show you this amazing cake that one of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Award winners made. I think the creator was Jodie Olver from London, ON. Isn't this incredible?
I've seen instructions for how to make these flowers and they look a bit time consuming. Can you imagine the hours that it took to put this together? But sooooo worth the effort! It's gorgeous!

Just Believe

Every year at Convention we get free stamp sets that we use for our Make-n-Take projects. They also have LOTS of samples posted to give us ideas to spark our creativity - or to just CASE! Here are just a few of the samples using the "Just Believe" stamp set. These are just a few of the card samples that were on display at Convention. I've seen lots more ideas from other demonstrators - especially on the Late Night Stampers Yahoo group. You can join that group too! There's one for demonstrators only and another for everyone. There are always LOTS of ideas being posted using lots of different stamp sets, accessories, etc. It's a great place to get ideas! There's no charge to join - just go to Yahoo Groups and search for StampinUpLNStampers or LNSDemoOnly (if you're a SU! demonstrator). Join us and have some fun!

Sorry I've been gone so long...

Sorry I've been gone so long, but I have a good reason even though it's not one I was happy about. I've been gone because we DIDN'T HAVE ANY INTERNET CONNECTION!!!!! Aaaahhhhhhhhh! Smiley from millan.net Our modem just went on the fritz and we had to have a replacement shipped to us. Then Jerry had to install it and spend half an hour on the phone getting it set up. But it's working. Aaaahhh - breathe a sigh of relief! Smiley from millan.net So I'm back on-line and will be posting soon. But I first have to get caught up on my transcription work. Oh, and maybe spend a little more time in the pool cooling off. It's been HOT, HOT, HOT around here! Smiley from millan.net

Hope you're staying cool wherever you are! I'll be back soon!

My furry assistant and cool samples from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Support

While I was working on my computer today, Webster (one of our cats) decided that he wanted to jump up on my desk and "help" me. His idea of helping is to sit right in front of my monitor so I can't see what I'm doing. Thanks for the "assistance" Webbie... Millan.net Now on to some actual stamping stuff (since I was finally able to get him off my desk). As we were touring the Stampin' Up! Riverton office, the Demonstrator Support desks had lots of stamping samples laid out for us to look at. We LOVE demonstrator support! Smiley from millan.netHere are just a few samples of what was on display.

I spotted this beautiful initial frame. I sooooo want to make one of these! I just have to find a frame with clear glass in it. Any ideas? There was another one with a "J" but my picture of that one came out blurry.
This little wagon is just too adorable!
Do you think that their desks are always this clean? Smiley from millan.net
These flowers are made with the butterfly punch! (Pg. 202 IB&C) They have a little bit of "sheen" to them which is probably from one of our Shimmer Paints (pg. 195 IB&C)
I've seen Cookie Monster done with the scallop circle punch, but this one was done with the Big Shot Oval Scallop Frame (pg. 207 IB&C). Isn't he adorable?
This is one of our Simply Adorned Charms (pg. 189 IB&C). I have a couple of these but I haven't decided what to put in them yet. This one uses some rub-ons. Clever idea!
This one was on a bulletin board just before we headed out the door. I love the sponging and shading on it.
There were a lot more samples on display - and this was just in ONE area of the home office! You should definitely think about joining me as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so next year you can go to Convention and see all of these great samples and ideas for yourself! Until next time - happy stamping!!
