I have had some kind of sickness/infection ALL week and I'm tired of it! Maybe if I get mad at "it", I'll start feeling better! I certainly have gotten a lot of sleep over the past week because it knocked me on my backside.
But enough about that. I have another Pretty Postage card sample to share with you today. I got the basic layout from somewhere (of course I can't quite recall) but I changed it up a little bit.
Can you see the Basic Pearls on each scallop at the bottom? I liked the little extra they added.

Here's a quick tip we learned at one of Stampin' Up!'s Conventions. I inked up the entire image with an Always Artichoke die pad, then took one of our Blender Pens and took the color OFF of the berries. I then took a Rich Razzleberry marker and colored the berries in before stamping! What do you think?
Until next time...

More Daisies
Last night some friends and I got together to make more of those beautiful Gerbera daisies. We had so much fun. Every color we made made us ooh and aah - they are all SO pretty! They are made with the Flower Daisies #2 Bigz Die (pg. 207 IB&C) and Boho Blossoms Extra-Large Punch (pg. 200 IB&C). You can order both of these by going to my Stampin' Up! website at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/jaynestamps/ and clicking on the "Shop Now" button at the upper right.
Here are some close-ups of our flowers and the cardstock colors we used.
And here are some of the creations combined in vases:
If you'd like the instructions on how to make these, go to my May 21,2011, posting HERE. I have a link to the lady who came up with these. And if you do a Google search on Gerbera daisy, you will see that these daisies come in a variety of colors - too pretty! I can't wait to make some more!
Until next time...

Beauty on a Beach Blanket
I just have time for a quick post this evening. This is another one of the punch art creations from the meeting earlier this month. Isn't she an adorable sunbathing beauty on a beach blanket? (Although looking at her bikini top, I think it's a little high...) She looks comfy and laid back with her sunglasses, don't you think? Hope she remembered the sun screen and doesn't get sunburned!
Maybe I'll be able to get out and get a little sun this weekend. We've had a lot of rain and cooler weather, but they're talking about highs in the 80s by Monday.
Until next time...

More Punch Art
How about some more punch art samples? Were you able to figure out which punches were used to make the ones from the other day?
I think this monster is simply adorable!
This bird just makes me smile. I think it's his big eyes.
Isn't this monkey just the cutest thing? And this one is an "angry bird". I know there's some kind of game that's called "Angry Birds" and I think this is based on that. (I know, I know, I'm admitting my clueless-ness here...)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the additional punch art creations! Until next time...

Pretty Postage Stamp Set
There is the sweetest little stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog called Pretty Postage. And guess what? It has a coordinating punch, called ---- (wait for it) --- Postage Stamp Punch!! You KNOW how I love stamps with coordinating punches!
I was playing with the stamp set yesterday, trying to come up with a card for a swap I'm in. This one wasn't my final swap card, but I was pleased with how it turned out. Such a bright and cheerful card for a birthday, don't you think? I think it could be a sweet and "nice" card, or you could have a saying inside about the number of candles on the recipient's cake. Not that I would do that! Tee hee!
ITEMS USED:
Pretty Postage stamp set, Postage Stamp Punch, 1-3/8" Square Extra-Large Punch, Sweet & Sour Specialty DSP, Brights Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Pumpkin Pie 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Very Vanilla, Rose Red, and Pumpkin Pie card stock.
Until next time...
