Geometrical Cards & Tuesday Deals

 Anita Ferre made this Retro Fresh-inspired card with Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, and Tangerine Tango.

This bright card was made by Deb Currier.  She also used the Arrows TIEF.  I love her color choices - Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango.

Basket with Pockets Class

 

Have you had a chance to check out the retiring items that are ON SALE?!?!?!?!  You can see the lists HERE.  But remember - supplies are only while they last, so don't wait!

Do you want to have some fun and make a great project at the same time?  Come to my "Basket with Pockets" class!

I am offering a class to make one of these adorable baskets this Thursday, May 29, at 6:30 PM at my house.  Cost is $20.  You can choose the color you want to use from the Subtles Collection - first come, first served on color choice, as I have a limited amount of colors available.

For this class you will NEED to bring Sticky Strip and another kind of tape like SNAIL, some kind of Simply Scored board (or something that will score 12" paper and card stock), bone folder, paper trimmer, and scissors.  Everything else is provided.

This class will work best if everyone is here to start at the same time so I can talk you through each step.

Surprise Box with Instructions

 

Today's project is an adorable box that you can use to tuck a little surprise into for a special friend. 

Here's the finished box:

And here's what happens when you remove the lid.  The sides are simply held together with the lid on top!

 

This is the piece on the inside bottom of the box where you can stamp or write your greeting.

 

It uses the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack from the Occasions Catalog.  I just love these colors together - Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Whisper White.  Also used were the Petite Petals stamp set and coordinating Petite Petals punch, the Flower Shop punch, Fringe Scissors, sponges, pearls, etc.  You can use whatever sparks your imagination!

I CASE-d the box from my friend Ronda Wade.  It was posted on a Facebook group that she started.  There are always loads of ideas posted there from all kinds of creative stampers!

New Catalog Premiere

 

Even though there are only a couple of weeks left for this catalog year, you still have time to order items that are still available from the retiring list before we have to say our final good-byes.

And even though there's a bit of sadness at saying good-bye to some of our favorites, there's the excitement of the new catalog to look forward to!  I was one of the people fortunate enough to be able to attend Stampin' Up!'s first New Catalog Premiere on April 28; which, of course, meant that I was one of the first people to GET the new catalog!

I've been through it a few times and am making my lists... you know, the "things I NEED to get NOW", "things I NEED to get later", and "things that I want to get sometime SOON".

I participated in a card swap with a few ladies who attended.  Here, in no particular order, are those cards:
