Beau Chateu Z-Fold Mini Album

By the time you read this, it will be the LAST DAY for 2012 Sale-a-bration!  I've been warning you for quite awhile now, so you have no excuse to feel like this:

But on another note, last weekend I had the pleasure of spending two days stamping with a new group of friends at the "Michigan Mingle".  I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot about it in the coming weeks.

I made a gift for my roommate, Debra.  It's an album called a Z-fold Album that I used the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper on.  She really seemed to like it!  Here are some pictures.

I had a lot of fun making this - and the DSP is soooo Debra!  The flower on the front was made with the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.  I've posted other albums made with this same technique, but if you can't find them and want some instructions, just leave me a comment WITH your e-mail address in it and I'll send you what I wrote up!

Home Sweet Home

 

Have you missed me?  Did you even realize I wasn't here?  Well, I missed "talking" to you!

 

I was gone for most of the weekend and got back late yesterday afternoon.  I had a wonderful time stamping with some new friends at the Michigan Mingle.  If any of you gals are checking out my blog, it was so great to meet you all!  Can't wait until we can get together again!  

But as much fun as I had, it's always good to get back home.  Dorothy was right, "there's no place like home"... 

But I'm not just waxing nostalgic tonight.  I have something to show you that I made a couple of weeks ago using the Home Sweet Home Decor Element that I got FREE through the Sale-a-bration catalog.

Storage for Basic Pearls and Rhinestones

Are you obsessed with storage items like I am?  I LOVE to find new ways to store my stamps and supplies.  I also love to organize, and sometimes I re-organize what I already have organized.  (Did you get that?)  I also like to clean.  I especially love to run the vacuum.  I know, I'm a little freakish, but what can I say?

Recently I decided that I needed a better way to store my Basic Pearls and Basic Rhinestones (both found on page 198 IB&C, items #119247 for the Basic Pearls and #119246 for the Basic Rhinestones - $4.95 each).  I took a couple of our Clear-Mount Stamp Cases (pg. 205 IB&C, item #119105 set of 4 for $5.95) and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration) and made these.

 Embellished with Mixed Bunch Stamp set and Blossom Punch.

 Embellished with Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (pg. 218 IB&C) stamped with Fresh Vintage SAB stamp set and run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice TIEF.

You can store 3 or 4 packages of the Pearls or Rhinestones in one of these.  I also added a small envelope pocket on the left for extra storage.

I used my label maker to put the names on the side so when they are propped on my desk, I can easily see which one I need. 

They were so much fun to make - and easy too!  Now my pearls and rhinestones are easily within reach and I can keep them all together (and organized)!  I'm a happy camper!

February's 10 for $20 Class Cards

The end of last month I had a 10 for $20 card class using a lot of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets and products.  Everyone who comes gets to make two of each card design and personalize them with whatever saying they want or need.  This is by far my most popular class.  It's a great way to get a "stash" of cards to have on hand when you need one.  I usually like to make my cards without any saying at all so that when I do need a card, I can pull out my greetings, stamp one on and I have a hand-made card ready to go!  (Now, shhhh.... don't tell my secret!)
