Three More Bloomin' Marvelous

Have you fallen in love with the Sale-a-bration items this year?  The colors of the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Sycamore Street ribbon (love!) and buttons are so bright and fun!

Today I have some more cards made with the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set.

Don't these butterflies just make you smile?  They look like they are going to fly right off the card and into the air.

If you haven't tried the "Chalkboard Technique" yet, here's a simple but beautiful sample showcasing it.

What can I say?  Cool patterns, purple and green (I think one of my favorite color combinations), and a bow!  What more could you want in a card?  (The background is stamped with the flower from Oh, Hello.)

Hope you're having a stamp happy day!  Until next time...

Secret Garden

I love flowers, don't you?  I have much better success stamping them than growing them, so unless they are self-sufficient, most flowers don't survive long with me.
From Millan.Net

So I always love it when Stampin' Up! comes out with new flower stamp sets.  And the latest one - Secret Garden - also has a coordinating set of Framelits!  So those of you who don't like to "fussy cut" can have your flowers and leaves cut out perfectly.  This is such a gorgeous stamp set!

I made this first card for a swap.  The flowers were stamped on Perfect Plum card stock with Craft Whisper White ink and White emboss powder.  Then I took a sponge dauber and some Elegant Eggplant  ink and added some darker color to the center and outside petals.  The flowers were then sprayed with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol.  The sentiment is a single stamp called Beautiful Birthday

The next couple of cards were ones that my friends showed me.  I don't know who stamped these, so if you recognize your card, please let me know so I can give you proper credit.

Until we start seeing this in Michigan, you can at least stamp some beautiful flowers of your own!

Bloomin Marvelous Samples

You know what?  This hasn't been the best year for me, sickness-wise.  I have spent WAY too much time doing this:
From Millan.Net
So I have officially declared that I HAVE HAD IT!  ENOUGH!  NO MORE SICKNESS!  (Hmmm.... do you think that will really work?)

Anyway, I'm glad that I'm feeling well enough to be back blogging and getting some stamping done.  Stamping is always good therapy!
From Millan.Net

These cards were made with the "Bloomin' Marvelous" Sale-a-bration stamp set.  Such cute ideas!  They are all from the display boards at Leadership.
The bright colors on this card make me think of spring!  It will come, won't it?

I love the background that is stamped on on this.  The circle is from Circle Circus with the flower from Bloomin' Marvelous stamped in the middle.  How clever!

I love the symmetry of this card.  This is a great idea when you have smaller stamps - make a grid with the Simply Scored and stamp the images inside the boxes.

The white embossed Hello, Doily stamp on the Crumb Cake card stock gives an elegant backdrop to the rest of the images.

Hopefully my better health will continue and I'll be able to be back on a regular basis, but the way this year has been going, I'm not holding my breath!  (Plus that would make me turn blue...)  So until next time...

Saturday Sale-a-bration Open House RESCHEDULED

Sale-a-bration Open House Rescheduled due to illness
As much as I hate to do this, I am going to have to reschedule the Sale-a-bration Open House originally scheduled for this Saturday.  My hubby has the flu and has been running a fever for the past couple of days.  He is not any better today, and in fact seems a little worse.  Poor guy.  (And I'm washing my hands and doing everything I can to try to not get it myself.)

I am so sorry to do this at such a late notice, but I think it would be in everyone's best interest health-wise.  I am going to reschedule it for next THURSDAY, February 21st from 3:00 to 8:00 PM.  If you can make this new date and time, would you please RSVP and let me know.  You know, cutting the cardstock and prepping everything is so much easier if I have an idea how many will be coming.  Smile

Just a reminder for everyone - all of my Open Houses are free of charge and you are welcome to come at any time during my open hours.  Attendees for classes and open houses need to be at least 12 years of age or older.

If you have any questions, please give me a call.  Thank you for your understanding.

This card has such a great Victorian look to it, doesn't it?

I just love the "bling factor" on this card!

Who wouldn't love to get a card with this simple saying?

Mix unusual colors and textures for an eye-catching Valentine!
 From Millan.Net

Classic red, pink, and white with lots of hearts.

What about a card that is heart-shaped with intertwined hearts?

Another beautiful Victorian-looking card using soft colors like Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake.

Express your love with flowers - hand stamped or real!
 From Millan.Net

A simple expression for the day with just a little bling here and there.

If you give your sweetheart a card like one of these, I'm sure the response will be

Of course, you know my favorite way to celebrate Valentine's Day, or ANY holiday, is with CHOCOLATE!

More Vintage Verses

I have some more Vintage Verses samples to share today.  I showed you the one I made to swap at Leadership, here are some more samples that I saw when I was there.

Isn't this fun and bright?  The Pool Party card stock was embossed with the Vine Street TIEF (a free Sale-a-bration item this year!).

Sycamore Street DSP is used on the background.

 So elegant...

This is a great idea when you have a longer word stamp.  Just stamp it multiple times in one color and then stamp it in a darker color to highlight it.  This also uses the Sycamore Street DSP.

As you can tell, this stamp set is SO versatile!  And you can get it FREE with any order of $50 in merchandise during Sale-a-bration this year.
Until next time...
