Build a Blossom

Today I have some card samples made with the Build a Blossom stamp set and Blossom Petals Punch. You can find them both on page 12 of the Occasions Mini Catalog. This is another one of those versatile stamp sets with the coordinating punch (love it)!

These cards are from the Upscale Swap Group's February swap. (That sounds like a long time ago, doesn't it?) This first card is one that I CASE-d from a swap card from my friend Carol Stofer. (Thanks for the idea, Carol!) Mine is done in So Saffron and Whisper White.

I stamped this card during our three-day power outage. Well, I started it at home and finished it at my mother-in-law's. The center circle is embossed - and I needed power for that! I don't have So Saffron craft ink, but I learned a clever trick awhile ago. Take your VersaMark pad and ink up your stamp, then ink it up in your Classic pad color. Stamp on your cardstock and emboss with clear powder. Someone had their thinking cap on that day... (or inking cap?)
