SU Stars December Blog Hop

Welcome to the next stop on the SU Stars December Blog Hop showcasing Holiday/Winter ideas.  I hope you've been inspired by some of the ideas you've seen so far.  I haven't seen them all, so I'm looking forward to "hopping" along myself!

If you've been going around the blog, you should have come from Jackie Watson's blog HERE.  Wasn't her easel card just adorable?  I love that little girl image!  If you're just starting at my blog, that's not a problem, you can just continue to hop from here and make it all the way around.

I have some samples to show you that we made at my downline meeting this month.  It's always so much fun to get together and stamp with friends!  Food, friends, and stamping - what could be better?

First up is a treat that I made for everyone that came.  It's a jar filled with M&M's (one of my favorites!) and decorated with the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags and the Handmade Holidays Stitched Felt.  I actually made a "belly band" with the tag so that it could slide off the jar and be used for something else.  Although I guess that would require eating the M&M's inside...

Next is a  Double Pocket Treat Holder.  You can do a Google search and find instructions on how to make these, but I will be posting step-by-step instructions in a few days.
We used the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Mixed Medley stamp set for these.

Here's a close-up picture.  They have Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares in each side.  Yum!

My first card is a matchbook card.  The top folds down and tucks into the bottom.  The card shape is made by cutting a piece of cardstock in half the long ways (4-1/2" x 11").  Then you score at 1-1/2" and 6-3/4".  I used the Make a Mitten stamp set and coordinating Mitten Builder Punch.  This also uses the Candlelight Christmas DSP.  There are so many great looks you can get from this one pack of DSP!

And our last project was a Twisted Greeting Card.  These cards are great for tucking a gift card or gift certificate inside.  My friend Cindy W came up with this design, which I promptly CASE-d!

We used the Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock, the Lacy Brocade TIEF, Snow Flurry Bigz Die, Champagne Glimmer Paper, and a Basic Pearl for the center of the snowflake.  The picture doesn't really do this card justice - the Glimmer Paper has such great shimmer in real life.

Now you'll want to head on over to Loni's blog at http://www.loniholt.blogspot.com/ to see what ideas she has to share.  Hope you've enjoyed hopping along with us!

Until next time...
