Autumn Leaves Must Fall

When I was thinking about this post, the words "autumn leaves must fall" came to mind.  So I started wondering if they were really lyrics to a song or if I had imagined them.  YouTube to the rescue!  The lyrics are from a recording by Chad & Jeremy in 1964 called "A Summer Song".

If you don't see a video above, you can hear the song HERE.

My post today isn't about songs though, it's about cards.  Specifically cards made with leaf stamps.  It's almost officially autumn!  Can you believe it?  I can't right now because our temps for the next couple of days are supposed to be in the 90s and humid.  The air conditioning is already cranked up to help keep us cool.

But it will be cooling down by the end of the week, so I'm getting in the "fall" mood!  This first card was one I received at Convention.  It was swapped by Michelle H from New York.  She used the Magnificent Maple and Tags 4 You stamps, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, and Sweater Weather designer series paper.  All are new items in the Holiday catalog.

The second card was made by Laura Barto of the Upscale Swap Group.  She also used the Sweater Weather DSP and Magnificent Maple stamp but she embossed the image with Silver Embossing Powder.  Two cards made with the same basic elements, but they look oh so different!

Deb Currier made this last card using Wonderfall, Petite Pairs, and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets.  And she also used the Sweater Weather DSP on her card!  I think that paper is a must-have!

So get ready, because whether you like it or not, Autumn is coming and soon!

Until next time...
