I have a card comparison for you today. I was trying to come up with a card to make for a swap I was in at Convention. The first one is very similar in color to one I saw online someplace. The colors are Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive. I liked it, but wanted to try something different.
So I went to my cardstock drawers to see what I could come up with. There was my file of Sahara Sand cardstock - so neglected and rarely used. Seems like I usually reach for Whisper White or Very Vanilla. So I thought, okay, if I use this as the base, what other colors should I use?
After various color tries, I settled on the combination of Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Garden Green, and Early Espresso.
I like how it turned out - and the ladies and gentlemen I swapped with all seemed to like it too! It was a little time consuming. Each card required at least SIX passes through the Big Shot! (What was I thinking?) But I think the end result was worth it. Which one is your favorite?
