Shoebox Swap Cards

At the Chocoholic Chicks meeting a week ago, we had a "shoebox swap".  To do a swap like this, each stamper designs a card that she likes, and then puts all the supplies to duplicate that card in a box so that everyone at the meeting can re-create the card themselves.  The cardstock is pre-cut to size, and all inks and embellishments are included. It's always lots of fun to see the cards and to stamp them.

This card was designed by Diane Kipp.  She used the Motley Monsters DSP, White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim, Tiny Triangles Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and the hostess exclusive Good Greetings stamp set.

The next one is my card.  I used the Seasonally Scattered stamp set, Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper, Gold Basic Metal Buttons, and Linen Thread.

This bright card was from Emily Mullin.  It uses an image from the Work of Art stamp set with a coordinating Bitty Butterfly on each color. Black Candy Dots finish off the butterflies.

Diana Shingledecker designed this screen card using the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating Feathers Framelits Dies. The colors were picked from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper pack.  The Decorative Label punch makes the "legs" at the bottom.

The last card I made for the evening was designed by Beata Fiebelkorn.  She used the Festival of Trees stamp set and coordinating Tree Punch. The On Point TIEF was used on the white background and that rich-looking ribbon is Real Red 3/8" Satin Woven Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog.

All told it was a wonderful evening with lots of stamping, snacking (of course!), and laughing!

Until next time...
