2011 Desktop Coaster Calendar - Oct., Nov., Dec.

Here are the last three months of my coaster calendar. I hope you've enjoyed seeing each page and maybe you've been inspired to create a calendar of your own. If so, I'd love to see it!

October is made using the Basic Black DSP from the Neutrals Patterns DSP Pack (pg. 175 IB&C) and accented with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive cardstock. The pumpkin is made by punching three oval shapes (I used the 1-3/8" by 5/8" oval punch) and sponging the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink.
November uses Autumn Spice DSP, which was available in the most recent Holiday Mini Catalog. This paper is no longer available, but you could use any type of fall patterned paper. It's accented with Cajun Craze and Early Espresso cardstock, and I used some 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Early Espresso for a little bow accent.
December's page is pretty much exactly like the one that Carol had created. I just loved what she had done and just figured I would CASE it. The background is Jolly Holiday DSP (pg. 174 IB&C). The adorable snowman is from the Tags til Christmas set (retired from the Holiday Mini Catalog). After stamping him in Cherry Cobbler ink, he was punched out with a circle punch and the "snow" was made by using a 2-way glue pen and some Chunky Essentials White Stampin' Glitter (pg. 196 IB&C).
To keep the size of the calendar from being too large, each coaster has two sides (January-February, March-April, etc.). After we had them all made, we put them together using my Bind-It-All. It only took us a few hours to make our calendars and we were all quite pleased with how they turned out!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my calendar and I hope you've been inspired to create something of your own. You could take any of these ideas or layouts and translate them into a card or scrapbook page element. If you do, be sure to show me your creations! Happy stamping!
