This first one uses that adorable Easy Events stamp set. The main color is Wisteria Wonder, but look how the darker purple just pops with the double embossing on it!
Now for some samples with the Holiday Stocking Die. Obviously, Lou Ann used the technique on the main part of the stocking here with the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF.
On this one, the double embossing is on the top of the stocking. I think that she used Cherry Cobbler embossing powder with the VersaMark ink and the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It changes the whole look, doesn't it!
Here's another sample done with the Snowflake TIEF. Can you tell what color embossing powder was used on this one?
Look closer...
Give up? It's actually White Embossing Powder on Real Red cardstock! Just think of all the possibilities you have - especially now that Stampin' Up! has more embossing powders that coordinate with our card stock colors. We have embossing powder in Cherry Cobbler, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, and Melon Mambo in addition to the "regulars" of white, black, gold, silver, clear, and Iridescent Ice. This makes me want to go grab my heat tool and do some double embossing right now! What about you?
Until next time...
