Now on to my stamping project. This was another project that I made last week with Emily. (We were so efficient - I'm not sure what came over us!) This is a Card Portfolio with coordinating cards. This is another great project from Craft Project Central. I'm telling you, this is a great place to get ideas and the monthly fee is very low. If you go over there and join, tell them Jayne sent you!
This is a great gift for someone special. This is my portfolio closed. I used the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper for mine.
Here it is with the top left flap opened. It is held shut with a couple of magnets.
And here is the inside fully opened. The cards are in the left pocket, various sayings that can be put on the cards are in the center "drawer", and envelopes are in the far right pocket. Besides being cute, it's quite practical too!
The designer of this portfolio made the drawer for the card sentiments to be kept in so that the recipient of this gift could add the sentiment of their choice when giving a card. What a terrific idea!
Midnight Muse cardstock and ribbon* and Argyle TIEF Folder
Cajun Craze cardstock, Square Lattice TIEF Folder, 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim, Floral Fusion Sizzlits
Soft Suede cardstock, Delicate Designs Folders, Large Scallop Edgelits Die, 3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon (I put the sentiment on this card so you could see how easy it is to add one.)
I still have ideas for more cards to go in this set. It's amazing how much fun it is to make cards using only one set of Designer Series Paper and the coordinating cardstock. In a way, it's quite "freeing" because choosing the colors is already done for you that way.
We had a lot of fun making our card portfolios! I think I'm going to have to make another one to actually give away. I want to keep this one! If you don't tell, no one will ever know...
And remember - It's Back to Spool Time!
*The Midnight Muse ribbon I used on the card above is one of the ribbons you can choose for FREE this month for every $40 you spend. Whether you place your order on-line or call or e-mail me to put it in for you, you can take advantage of this free offer! (And who doesn't love free?)
Until next time...
