Toxic Treats

I think my vacuum is dying.  Now maybe that might not bother some of you, but I LIKE to vacuum.  It's been making a funny squealing sound when I vacuum the carpeting.  So I think it's going to have to go to the "vacuum doctor" tomorrow.  I hope it doesn't have to stay too many nights there...

Plus our printers aren't working.  We have two and neither one will print.  Grrr... Smiley from millan.net

Here it is October 1st already!  I love it though.  I'm ready for fall.  I love the leaves changing color, the cool nights, apple cider, pretty much everything about it!  (And if you read my last post, you know I also love the colors of fall candy!)

While I love fall and the change in the weather, personally I'm not a big fan of Halloween.  I know a LOT of people are.  I don't go in for the creepy, scary decorations.  Cutesy decorations are more my thing.  When I was growing up, my mom had a cardboard skeleton that she hung on the inside of the front door every year.  I would look away and run by that thing so I didn't have to look at it.  So I think I'm basically scarred for life.

But you didn't come here to listen to me whine about my vacuum and my issues from growing up, did you?  You came to see some stamping ideas!  So allow me to deliver.  Here is a sort of creepy, spooky card (although I'm not scared of it now).
This card was made by Diane Kipp.  She used the Toxic Treats stamp set, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP, Champagne Glimmer Paper, and 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon (pg. 26 Holiday Catalog).  These are all products that are only available in the Holiday Catalog, so don't wait to get yours!  She also used the Labels Collection Framelits and Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the annual catalog.  This picture really doesn't do it justice - it's so much prettier in real life!  I LOVE our Glimmer Paper - and the Champagne really has the "bling factor" going for it!

When I got together with my stamping friends a bit ago, Diane had these adorable goodie bags for us:

(In addition to Toxic Treats stamp set and Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP, Diane also used the Lovely Letters Alphabet.

Here is everything that was in my goodie bag!   And I will tell you that none of these treats were toxic - except to my waistline!

I thought this was just too cute - I got "Ghost Droppings" in my bag.  Everyone had something a little different.  Wish I could remember the other ones...   Smiley from millan.net

Well anyway, that's life around here.  I think I'd better go have some of that candy to help me calm my nerves.  Until next time...
