Embellished Ornaments

One of the prettiest stamp sets in this year's Holiday Catalog is the Embellished Ornaments and the coordinating Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies (on sale in the weekly deals!). I have seen so many gorgeous creations using these! Today I'm going to show you some of the cards that I have in my possession made with this stamp set and thinlits.

Laura Barto created this beautiful card. The top layer of the ornament is cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (my favorite glimmer paper AND also on sale in the weekly deals!). The paper she used on the left of the card is the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.

Her card opens in the center, revealing the inside sentiment with the extra holly leaves. Stamping an image on the inside of your card just adds that extra special touch, don't you agree?

This card uses just Real Red and Whisper White but still looks great - reinforcing the fact that you don't have to have a lot of colors to make a great card. The Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was used on the back layer, and Gold Glimmer Paper and Basic Rhinestones were used for the "bling factor".

This next card uses non-traditional Christmas colors of Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow. I love the combination of those two, don't you?

Now for a card that doesn't use the Embellished Ornaments stamp set, but does use the Delicate Ornament Thinlits. The stamper also used the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies, Jingle All the Way stamp set, and Softly Falling TIEF. Kinda makes you want to go for a sleigh ride, doesn't it?

Here's another card that uses the Thinlits to cut out an image from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper. The addition of the gold embossing in the background and the Gold Foil Sheet for the ornament holder makes this card easy but elegant.

My last card for today is also made by Laura Barto. In addition to today's featured products, Laura used the Christmas Greetings Thinlits, Silver Cord, Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Silver Foil, and Red Glimmer paper. It's one of those cards that you hold in your hand and turn back and forth to watch the light play off the glimmer. So much prettier in real life!

I think a handmade Christmas card expresses your love and thoughtfulness for the recipient, don't you? I know I LOVE getting handmade cards for Christmas. It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And isn't that really why we send cards at Christmas? To let people know that we are thinking about them and care about them.
