2011 Occasions Mini Catalog Samples

Brrr - is it ever cold here!Smiley from millan.net It has also been one of "those days" today. It seems like everything I try to do electronically has to argue back at me and give me a hard time. What's up with that?Smiley from millan.net

But before I get off the computer for the night and snuggle on the couch with an afghan and a cat, I wanted to share a few more cards. These are ones that I made for a recent swap.

The first one uses the Build-a-Blossom stamp set with the coordinating Blossom Petals Punch (both in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog pg. 12). This is SO COOL! You can now stamp your image (flower petal, leaf, center) and then punch it out to make any color, design, shape of flower that you want! It's so much fun - I just love it! I also used my new favorite embossing folder - the Framed Tulips from the mini catalog, but just on the Regal Rose, and then sponged lightly over the top of that with Regal Rose ink to bring it out a little more. Do you like?
The next card uses our other stamp set/coordinating punch combo - Create a Cupcake stamp set and Build a Cupcake punch. These are just too much fun to play with! This card was an idea that I saw on someone's blog recently and it's pretty much the same, I just changed up a couple of things, but I really like it. Because of the blues and browns, it would make a good "guy birthday card". I mean, guys like cupcakes too, right? Smiley from millan.net
Okay, the couch is calling me - maybe even a cup of tea or decaf coffee. If you're someplace getting battered by the snowstorm, I hope you can hunker down and stay safe and warm! Sending warm hugs your way! Smiley from millan.net
