I think I'm addicted to cards made with the Gently Falling stamp set. I love to stamp with the set, I love to see cards that have been made with the set - and why not? This two-step stamp set makes the leaves look almost 3-D. And I'm not the only one who loves this stamp set. I have a lot of samples that I've received in swaps that use this set.
Gwen Duckworth created this first card. In addition to using the Gently Falling stamp set, Gwen also used the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and the Spice Cake Designer Fabric. Yes, Stampin' Up! does have fabric, in case you haven't been paying attention!

Check out this next card. Don't you just love the variations in color on the leaf? I contacted Cindy Westerink, who made this, and asked her what she did. She used Watercolor Paper and inked the solid leaf in More Mustard and then thumped with Cajun Craze marker. She then spritzed the inked up stamp with water and stamped. It makes the leaf look so REAL!

This was my swap card for this same group. I CASE-d this card from Mary Brown (I think). The leaf colors are Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party (taken from the Spice Cake DSP) and the acorn was colored with markers in More Mustard and Soft Suede. The detailed outline was stamped with Soft Suede. I also used the Soft Suede 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon. The saying is from Petite Pairs.
