Two Tags Easel Card

Earlier this week I had lunch and then spent the afternoon stamping with my friend Debra D. We had such a great time! Deb was getting ready for a stamping class, so I helped her with a few of the designs for that, and she had some great card ideas for me.

One of them was this easel card made with the Two Tags Die. I just loved the look of this - and Deb had an extra one that she gave to me! (Thanks, Deb!) Smiley from millan.net Here is her card closed:
And standing:
I wanted to try making one myself, so here's the one I made. It's pretty much the same except for the colors. Deb's card was made with More Mustard cardstock and Cajun Craze accent pieces, and mine was made with Cajun Craze cardstock and Chocolate Chip accent pieces.
Here is a side view while it's standing:
The leaf is from the Gently Falling stamp set (what else?) and is inked with Cajun Craze, then "rock 'n' rolled" on the Chocolate Chip pad. There is some Dazzling Details glitter glue used on the large veins of the leaf, but it didn't show up very good in the pictures. It looks so pretty in real life and adds some additional color and interest.

I have more to show you from our stamping day, but I have to give it to you in small doses. I don't want to overwhelm you! So until next time...
