Flip Card with Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series Paper

Today's card is a special fold called a "flip card" or I've heard it referred to as a pop-up card or pull-up card.  Whatever you call it, it's very cool!  I've seen this type of card for quite awhile, but this is the first time I've made one.  It was so much fun to see it come together!

I used the Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty DSP from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set from the same catalog.  This first picture shows the front of the card closed.  I punched a square of Chocolate Chip cardstock with the Scallop Trim Border punch and the size I had cut just worked out to perfectly create a one-of-a-kind frame.  (I say one-of-a-kind because the chances of this happening again are slim!)
Here it is with the tag pulled up.  When you pull on the tag, it reveals the saying underneath.  The saying on the tag is from Delightful Dozen (pg. 167 IB&C).  The Peace, Love, Joy is from a retired Stampin' Up! set.
Here is another view of the opened card so you can see the image on the front a little better.
Here is what it looks like from the side.
My friend and down-line Emily was stamping with me on the day I made this card, and here is what she made.  The Dasher image is stamped with Vanilla Craft Ink and Shimmer Paint onto Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I wish the picture showed the bling of the snowflake better.  It really pops on the card!
Would you like to make one of these cards?  This would be something I would do in a "Wow Cards Class".  Let me know what you think!

Until next time...
