Delicate Doilies

If I've learned one thing through my years of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, it's that our stamp sets are versatile. As demonstrators we get the opportunity to order stamp sets and accessories before they come out in the new catalog or new mini catalogs. It's always fun to be one of the first to get new products and stamps!

One of the sets that we could preorder before the new catalog came out in July was Delicate Doilies. Now, this is not typically my type of set. But I know that when demonstrators get their hands on new stamp sets, all sorts of wonderful and creative ideas will start to appear! And then I'll want to have that stamp set, so I figure I may as well get it early. Smart thinking, right?

So I have some wonderful and creative ideas made with the Delicate Doilies set to share with you today. You can find this set on page 127 of the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. I don't know every one who made these cards because some of them were pictures I took of cards that my Convention roommates had. If you recognize a card that you created, please let me know so that I can give you proper credit.

This first one was made by Laura Barto from the Upscale Swap Group. This card has actually been posted on my blog already, but I wanted to show it again. It's too pretty not to highlight it again!
Diane Kipp created this beauty. I think the colors are Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral, which are very bright colors, but they are softened a bit by "stamping off" before stamping on the card stock. Gorgeous!
The rest of the cards are swap cards that my roommates had, so I don't know the original creator. But just look at the variety in colors, layouts, etc. The possibilities are endless!

This one uses the emboss resist technique. The colors are so striking!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing how one stamp set can be used to create many different looks. You definitely get your money's worth with Stampin' Up!'s products! And this is just a small sampling of ideas I've seen with this stamp set. Do you have Delicate Doilies yet? What have you made with it? I'd love to see!

Don't forget - you only have about a week and a half to take advantage of our amazing August promotion for Designer Series Paper - buy 3 and get one FREE! You can order them yourself by going to my demonstrator website at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/jaynestamps/ and clicking on the "Shop Now" button at the upper right. By going through my demonstrator website, it will ensure that you get the best price for your items.

Hope to hear from you soon! Until next time...
