Graduation Gown Cards

At my Special Occasions Card class on Thursday, one of the projects were these graduation gown cards. I gave the ladies the option of making their cards in whatever color they needed. It was so much fun to see all the different colors! I only got pictures of a few, but I think you get the idea.

I love this idea for a graduation card! I've seen a lot of different ideas over the years, but this is the first one I've seen where the card looks like a graduation gown.



I believe the original idea came from Jackie Topa, but there were no instructions, so I had to write some up on my own. It's not very complicated, but I think it's easier done with someone showing you than having them written out. (So did the ladies who came to class!)

So if you still have some graduations to attend and want a unique idea for a card, give these a try! Don't you think the recipient will be thrilled when they get a card custom-made just for them? Very cool!
